I have a pair already for my other boy in the picture attached to this and I love them! I was letting her get used to them while in the house. Doesn't take very long. Easy to put on and stays on well.

We love RMPP! These shoes are great for runs, backyard play, and donāt fall off! Also they allow her foot to flex to make contact with the ground naturally which more structured shoes are not designed for. Also, Jill is amazing!! Anytime I have questions I always get a quick response that is very helpful. Donāt hesitate to reach out if you need help finding the right size, etc. Highly recommended! Best dog boots ever. No fuss getting our dog to have them on. Really helped w/a sore pad that was bothering her. I'm still not sure if I shouldn't have done medium on both pairs. However, she hiked with us about 2 miles and did great. Even ran in them. Quality is great. They are dusty from the trail but holding up great.
He likes these better than his tennis shoes. This time of year, he knows he can't go out without shoes. Front shoes are too big but I will run a stitch on one side to tighten them up.
These are perfect for hot hikes, snowy hikes, potty breaks & Everything in between. Vegas summers mean paw protection every time you step out doors, even if it's for a quick potty break. Aspen doesnt mind having these on all day so she can transition from indoors to our doors freely. She felt comfortable from the very beginning, no breaking in or getting used to necessary.
We bought these for our sonās service dog to wear at the beach and theyāve been great so far. Sheās adjusted to them quickly, they stay on well, and they even held up during a game of fetch. Looking forward to using them on the hot sand later this month!
Starbutts did not want to go up these rocks. I swear after the boots were on, she sprinted all the way up once she realized how good it felt on her paws. SPRINTED ALL THE WAY!
I thought it was going to take forever to get my dog used to wearing these, but he adjusted SO quickly. It was an easy learning curve for both of us, and I feel so relieved to be able to take him for walks without the concern of burning his feet. I have three pairs. These are the second and I like the snuggle in them but also still love the comfort in the lariat cinch as well.
These boots are so comfortable for dogs! Great quality!
These actually fit and stay on. Fetch in the yard and chasing dogs at a very sandy dog park and they didn't come off only had to pull one up one time. The shoe horns take a bit of finesse but once you get the handle of it they work well.
I have been looking for a long time for booties to fit the resident drama king. These are very well made, and fit nicely. Unfortunately we lost one off a rear paw on our first BC ski in some deep snow! I think they got too wet, and heavy, for the conditions and one slipped off.

Caesar was comfortable in his deer skin moccasins immediately! He did not do any "High stepping" and had no problem going down the stairs. He is now 5 years old. We only recently starting putting boots on his feet. But these were way more comfortable than the heavier rubber bottom neoprene boots. Here on Hawaii island we have volcano eruptions every 2-3 weeks and wanted to protect his little feet from the volcanic glass (tephra and Pele's hair) that blows from 40 miles away. There was no problem putting the boots on with the shoehorns and snugging down the lariat. They fit perfect for his little Jack Russell-mix Terrier feet! He weighs 17 lbs. We had previously ordered deerskin boots from another company but they weren't as nice as yours and were more difficult to get into and to tie down. Only wish we had found your website first! Thank you so much for your product. Just one question: is there something you recommend that I could rub on the deerskin to make it somewhat water resistant? They are easy to put on my pupās paws, but Iām affraid the XS size, eventhough the paw measurements were as indicated in the size chart, was a bit too big for her, so the booties start sliding off as she walks. Any suggestion to secure them better would be appreciated since they are the smallest size and my dog loved the insulation. I could see she realized the difference they make when she walks in the snow.
These moccasins shape to their paws and are comfortable. They are a bit of a challenge to put on, they have to be very snug, but they protect his paws and do not fall off.
Our little one scratches when she wants attention. These xs Lariat are comfortable and perfect for her. We tried many others and these ones do not bother her.
She wasnāt crazy about the boots, although sheās worn boots all her life. Weāll need a break in period. I think theyāll be fine. Nice product! Also thanks for throwing in an extra boot.

Hodor loves his All Weather Rocky Mountain Paw Boots! They are extremely well made and the customer service is top-notch! When you get the correct size (which is SO important), they will not come off unless you take them off. Once on, Hodor doesn't even notice them- they become a part of his paw because they are made with breathable leather and allow him to move naturally without restricting his movements. If you are on the fence about buying these, give it a shot- you won't be disappointed!
I am visually impaired and cannot legally drive so I do a lot of walking around town with the help of my guide dog. I wanted a soft shoe for his feet and these booties are perfect. He loves them and I am happy to have paw protection without hindering his guide work. Thank you!
Unfortunately it didn't work for my GSD. The fit is perfect when he is lying down, his paws fill the pouch, not tight not loose. The string is tightened. Today it snowed, first time booties trial. They didn't fall off but slipped down until drawstring part reached pads. The access material in front now folded with every step. He was very uncomfortable to step on the material and the plastic drawstring knob was pressing on paw. It was hard to capture a photo, it was a video, hope the fold is visible.
Store owner replied: Hi Elena! I'm sorry to hear the boots aren't working for your GSD, but I am fairly certain based on the photo and the size you ordered that they are way too big. The 2XL size typically fit large breed dogs with an almost 4" wide paw. In my experience, GSD's are usually a L or XL size. From town, to the dusty trails, to the snow. They are the absolute perfect bootie! They stay on, not too tight and donāt give her blisters. Easy to get on too, once you get the hang of it. Bailey loves them and doesnāt mind wearing them at all!! I am so happy I went for it and bought these for my adventure girl. Great product! PS you can never have too many pairs right?!
My Matilda is extremely allergic to bees to the point of hospitalization. Finding shoes that fit her tiny paws has been extremely difficult. Theyāre either hard clunky shoes, or in most cases, fall off immediately. Although she hates shoes in general, these have stayed on (except for 2 occasions), and theyāre soft enough for her to run and play. Most importantly, theyāve given me some peace of mind knowing that my girl has some protection against future possible bee stings. @hermosamatilda
Took Rueger about 2 minutes to get used to them if that. Took me longer to get used to putting them on. With him being a 14 month old male Vizsla I did large pair for front paws and medium for back paws. They are snugg with room for him to grow into them. Great quality.
I have had such a hard time finding boots for my italian greyhounds that stay on but also don't rub. Unfortunately the xs all weather boots arent quit small enough to stay on my 20 pound male but they don't rub so I sewed a strap to the bottom of his snow suit and can wrap the top of the boot around it and velcro it so it stays on. Now what to do about the 10 pound female.
We had originally purchased the All weather boots and had to go back and forth on the size. Unfortunately those wouldn't stay on our dog Molly. The owner Jill was so great in communication that I decided to buy the Lariat Cinch boots. While they fit very well and they are a great product, I'm having to adjust them often. I'm hoping in time they allow me to tighten them more as they get worn more, like shoes do. Our dog is a Pitbull/Dalmatian mix. She is very solid and has big foot pads and skinny legs.

They are the best shoes we bought for her. She isnāt fighting to get them off. She seems to be enjoying them on. They were easy to get on. They look adorable on her feet. They seem to be comfortable on her. The other shoes made her walk funny and she has walked perfectly normal with right away like they were her regular paws.
Fortunately, both the front and rear paws are within the same M sizing, so I don't have to worry to fit which is which. They fit perfectly at each paw so far, not falling off or coming lose, after a mile of street pavement walking. My dog loves running after balls and jumping for freebies and they seem to stay on. The only drawback that I think is having to use the shoes horn in order to put on boots and I was only given 1 pair of them considering I bought 2 pairs of M size. If I ever loss them, I guess I have to buy them again. Putting the boots on is not the easiest but not very difficult either, just need to make sure all toes are in before pushing the footie down with a little twisting. So far, all is well. It will have to wait until our next camping trip for its final testing.
Very nice boots. Too early to see how well they last but they seem well made. Takes a few times to get good at putting them on. Iām looking forward to seeing how they do on my next 10 mile run.
Weāre still figuring out how to walk in them without stepping on our own feet and yanking the boots off, but so far we love these boots! Good foot protection from the hot pavement and brick when weāre walking outdoors.

Size + Fit
Do I need to measure my dog's paws before purchasing?
YES! It is impossible to determine the size of your pup's paws by weight and breed alone. Since RMPP Dog Booties do not utilize any closures, it's extremely important to measure front and back paws before purchasing. You can see our measuring guide and size chart here.
My dog is in between sizes, which size should I get?
If your dog is in between sizes, we almost always recommend sizing down. This ensures our stay on design will STAY ON! For senior or more sedentary dogs, size up.
I got my boots, how do I know if they're the right size?
First, make sure you are trying the boots on both front and rear paws. To confirm you have the correct size, we recommend doing the "pull test", which we demo at the end of this video here.
The difference between boot size is subtle and dog's can often fit into two different sizes, BUT the correct size will be snug enough to stay on while running even at full sprint. In addition to the "pull test", we recommend having your pup run in them (somewhere clean and indoors) so if they fall off you can exchange them for a different size.
We REALLY want you to get the right size, because we know you and your pup will love them!

What about dog's with dew claws?
RMPP dog booties are dew claw safe - many RMPP pup's have their dew claws!
Will these work for Corgi's and other short legged dogs?
No, unfortunately our current design does not work for short legged dogs. We are working on a Corgi specific design and hope to have something available soon!
Where and how to wear
How do you get these things on?
What makes RMPP Dog Booties so unique is our innovative, patent-pending shoe horns! By using these very simple plastic inserts, you are able to pry open the narrow neoprene cuff to slide your pup's paws through. You can see a demo here. Do NOT use the neoprene shims as pull tabs. This will likely damage the bootie.
How do I take them off?
A firm tug is all you'll need to get RMPP boots off your pup.
Can RMPP booties get wet?
Getting RMPP booties wet will not damage them, but if the leather becomes too saturated with water they can become heavy and fall off.
If your pup loves to get in the water, we recommend taking each paw and squeezing the excess water out before adventuring on.
Can they be worn in the snow?
Yes, they can be worn in light snow. For deep snow, we recommend our Winter Dog Booties.
What do they protect against?
RMPP booties offer great protection for rocky trails, gravel roads, hot pavement, desert slick rock, slippery floors, burrs, cheat grass, foxtails, goat heads, injuries, and grass allergies.
Performance
Are they waterproof?
No, our leather is not waterproof. While you could use a waterproof coating, we do not recommend this as it will alter the breathability of the boots.
Are they breathable?
Yes, deerskin leather is a naturally breathable material, more than the synthetic alternative most dog boots are made out of.
My dog drags his paws, will these hold up?
If your pup drags his paws when he walks and you walk on pavement, holes will eventually develop in the boots. You can try to treat the worn areas with Shoe Goo to prevent any further damage.
Are they puncture resistant?
Although the leather we use is quite strong, it can be punctured.
Why leather?
For us, leather was the natural and obvious solution for dog boots. Leather is strong, breathable, and allows dog's to feel the ground beneath them as they walk. If you've used other dog boots, you will notice that there is very little adjustment period - if any - with RMPP booties.
Many people believe that leather holds in the heat, but actually the opposite is true! That's why it's classically used for motorcycle gear. It's capable of protecting against hot pavement while offering breathability.
